November was National Novel Writing Month (known as NaNoWriMo), 30 days in which intrepid writers attempt to get a first draft novel down on paper or in pixels. For more-established writers every month is novel writing month, so they tend to stick with the writing schedule that works for them and offer advice and encouragement to NaNoWriMo participants.
