Reception for Masha Hamilton, 2010/2011 WNBA Award Winner

Masha Hamilton, author of Unbridled Books titles The Distance Between Us and 31 Hours who was named the winner of the 2010 WNBA Award in June of 2010 will be the guest of honor at a reception hosted by the WNBA in New York on March 12, 2011.

Please join the Women’s National Book Association at a reception honoring the recipient of the 2010/2011 WNBA Award, Masha Hamilton.
Author, journalist, and activist, Masha Hamilton embodies the passion and altruism enshrined in the WNBA Award, given biennially to a woman who has done meritorious work in the world of books above and beyond the responsibilities of her profession.
Come hear about Masha’s recent novels, including 31 Hours (Unbridled, 2009) and The Camel Bookmobile (Harper, 2008), and her work as founder of the Camel Book Drive and the Afghan Women’s Writing Project. Share in her love of the book and celebrate her commitment to the power of the written word in creating a more just and peaceful world.
