Journal Sentinel Editor Picks THE LIGHTHOUSE ROAD
The Journal Sentinel, the Pulitzer Prize winning Milwaukee newspaper, has named The Lighthouse Road as one of its fourteen editor’s picks. Every year, the Journal Sentinel publishes list of books for holiday gift-giving. Among them are the Editor’s Picks.
The Lighthouse Road, written by Peter Geye and published by Unbridled Books in October 2012, weighed in at #4. The Sentinel used this description:
“The Lighthouse Road” (Unbridled Books), by Peter Geye. Orphans and immigrants carve out lives for themselves along Lake Superior from the 1890s through 1920s. Geye’s novel masterfully blends historical fiction with close observation of the choices men and women make.
