Unbridled Books Honors Author with Donation
PRESS RELEASE
This May, Unbridled will release Masha Hamilton’s remarkable fifth novel, What Changes Everything, which is about the impact of the war in Afghanistan on American and Afghan families. More than this, the novel is an extension of Hamilton’s ongoing literary exploration of the destructive reach that personal distance, misunderstanding, and the plague of violence continuously exert in the structures of our private lives.
Masha Hamilton is known for her good work in that real world, and we are boundlessly honored to be her publisher. Many readers will remember that a few years ago, she founded The Camel Book Drive to serve remote and impoverished villages in Kenya. And in 2009 she founded the Afghan Women’s Writing Project (AWWP) to give an opportunity for women in Afghanistan to tell their stories to the world. The AWWP continues to offer that opportunity, fostering creativity and connecting those women with female writers and teachers from the United States.
To honor that work, Unbridled Books will make the eBook of What Changes Everything available one month early, on April 25. For every eBook of that novel sold, Unbridled will donate $1 in support of the important work at the AWWP.
The eBook is available through major online booksellers.
We hope, not only that readers will take the opportunity to read this remarkable novel for an important cause, but that they will go further in support of the Afghan Women’s Writing Project.
With wishes for peace,
Fred Ramey, Co-Publisher
