Back to Press for The Lighthouse Road
(October 16, 2012, Denver, CO) Unbridled Books is pleased to announce that it is going back to press for Peter Geye’s much talked about new novel, THE LIGHTHOUSE ROAD, which published exactly one week ago. The book has sparked significant enthusiasm among independent booksellers, especially at several of their fall trade shows. Independent booksellers had already named the title an October Indie Next Pick. The title also is earning excellent reviews, including a starred Booklist, and kudos from writers Leif Enger and Bruce Machart, among others.
Peter Geye received his MFA from the University of New Orleans and his PhD from Western Michigan University, where he was editor of Third Coast. He was born and raised in Minneapolis and continues to live there with his wife and three children. He is the author of the award winning novel, Safe from the Sea. His website is http://petergeye.com.
THE LIGHTHOUSE ROAD is a powerful novel about a young immigrant woman trying to survive without any family outside 1890s Duluth. It’s also the story of her grown son, Odd, who years later tries to carve out his own life path. And it’s also about the ways in which actions ripple out over generations. In this triumphant return, Geye crafts another deeply moving tale of a family defined in part by the rough landscape in which they live, and in part by the rough edges of their own breaking hearts.
Unbridled Books is distributed to the trade by PGW. To learn more about the press, please visit unbridledbooks.com.
