I’m a big fan of Dickey. One of my favorites is Failure! Experiments in Aesthetic and Social Practices. Nicely blending together theory and examples it draws out many important points about the creativity and usefulness of failure (as opposed to defeat or futility) which often get overlooked because of the bad rap failure tends to get as a state of being / construct.
