Margaret Cezair-Thompson at the Pulpwood Queens Girlfriend Weekend

I have one story that I must share; it's one of the best things I ever
heard anyone say about my book:
At the Jefferson Convention Center where the events were taking place
there were vendors selling jewelry, antiques etc. I was purchasing a gift
for a friend back home when the vendor, a lady who looked like she was in
her forties, saw my name tag and said: "You're the writer of The Pirate's
Daughter! I loved that book. It's the first book I've read since high
school." She went on to tell me how she came to read it: "I was at Kathy's
beauty salon and noticed the book's cover (the hardcover) and I'd just
redone my living room in those same colors. I said, 'Kathy I want to get
that book'. She (Kathy) said it's a great read. I said I don't want to read
it; I just want to put it on my coffee table. So I bought it because it
matched everything so well. One day I was sitting home alone and opened it
to take a look and I couldn't put it down. Since then I've been reading
one book after another..."
Isn't that a great story?
